Pauling came down and helped rivet 2 rivets I could not reach solo on the bottom skin to aft fuse cone double rivet line.
Pauline also helped get both the side skins lined up and clecoed back on. As expected, the conical bend tab was the difficult part to get inserted and lined up. I used a couple carpenter's shims to open up the slot to help get it in.
Also, I did one dumb thing. The plans clearly call out leaving the aft rivet ahead of the forward side of the wing stub slot open when riveting on the skin doubler ahead of assembly. I couldn't understand at the time of assembly why that rivet should be held open for a blind rivet so I quickly squeezed a rivet in there on both sides. By the time I was finished clecoing everything together I figured it out. These holes need to be open to rivet on the forward bottom skin! I need to drill these two out...
