Not much time to work on the AP this weekend. We moved daughter Holly down from Bellingham and got her settled here at home again for a short stay until she’s got another place. New job in Bothell!
The outer ribs basically come without holes except for the three most aft holes that tie the rib into the F705 bulkhead (oh, and I just noticed that I shouldn’t have put those rivets in the bulkhead – I’ll have to drill them out).
Without holes the rib needs to be firmly clamped into place and match drilled through the bottom skin holes and F704 bulkhead holes. The skin holes are however not in at straight line. The rib needs to curve with the hole line. As others have done, I first marked a center line on the rib flange that mates with the skin. Then I use the fluting pliers to warp the curve into the rib.
