I completed edge finishing of the right side skin (F-773) and clecoed it onto the aft Fuselage assembly. I then clecoed on the F-706 Bulkhead and started clecoing the bellcrank rib to the bottom skin. The bottom skin holes seem a touch too forward relative to the rib. It’s tough to get the clecos in. I then realized that it would be easier if I left the F-706 bulkead off the assembly when finalizing the j-stringers so it took it off and started on the tail cone.
I had already assembled (struggled with) the Tailcone Skin (F779) and the two aft most bulkheads (F-711 & F-712). I removed a few clecos and worked it into the assembly. This is going to be tough. The fit is nothing like the usual Vans matched holes assembly process. Every hole is a struggle and an awl is usually required. I removed the F-711 bulkhead and bent the flanges to better align with the F-733 skins. It looks better but didn’t noticeably improve the fit. The F-711 is clecoed. I called it a night then.
