I followed the same process I used on the right tank.
- Scuffed up both the plate and rib ring and then wiped them both down with MEK
- Soaked the hex head screws and washers in MEK
- Mixed up a small batch of sealant
- Applied sealant to both interior aft corners of the baffle/inboard rib
- Applied sealant to the plate nut screw holes inside the tank
- Smeared sealant around rib opening
- Installed the cover plate, dipped the screws in sealant, installed and tightened.
With the left over sealant, I finished up covering the shop heads for the baffle to skin rivets. I’ll need just a bit more to complete the fillet seals.
