Brief Description:  Custom wrench, mount blade #1, heat shield

Fabricated a thin wrench for tightening the large 1-1/2" nuts that retain the bearing stack in the blade grips. Drew the wrench out on a sheet of paper with a sharpie then used a line following plasma cutter at work to cut the shape out of a piece of 1/4" steel plate. Ground the edges smooth then milled the jaws to an opening of 1-1/2". Found a piece of scrap tubing about 18" long to use as a handle extension for torquing the nuts to 50-60 ft/lbs. Drilled a hole near the end of the tube 19" from the center of the jaws and will hook my digital scale in the hole and pull 35 lbs for a torque of about 56 ft/lbs.

Had Bruce help me install the second rotor blade after work. We used the front blade support to help support the blade while Bruce adjusted the tip height and I worked the root into the blade grip, aligned the holes and tightened the bolt to 10 ft/lbs.

Went out after supper and started working out the size and shape for a heat shield to protect the frame, wires and tail control cable from the hot exhaust out the right side since I have the exhaust pointed more to the side than down to prevent killing the grass wherever I eventually land.
