Brief Description:  #2 Blade plug

Continued work on the #2 blade plug.

Marked and drilled the 5 top screw holes. Used a thin strip of oak as a backer with match drilled #40 holes to keep the counter sink centered. Clamped it for the first couple holes then installed a couple of the screws to hold it for the rest. Repeated on the bottom. These came out better than the other blade with only a couple screws needing slight filing.

Removed the plug indexing the screws as with the other plug so I'll be sure to put the shortened screws back in the correct holes so they won't hit with the screw from the other side.

Brought the plugs home and drilled the three 1/4" holes in plug #2 using plug 1 as a template. Soaked the surface and holes of plug 2 with CA to seal and harden it and the screw threads. Cut small strips of screen mesh to fit over the inside of the 1/4" holes to keep bugs out. These will get glued on later after I've finished and painted the plugs.

Weighed the plugs on my digital scale and found that #1 is 15.4 grams and #2 is 15.2g. I'll weigh them again with the screws and match them up as needed.
