Brief Description: Mounted compass and radio in panel
Decided that I would have to shave a bit off the corner of the altimeter to allow the radio to be installed square in its hole. Used a file and my disc sander to carefully remove about 1/16" of thickness from the corner of the altimeter case which was just enogh to let the radio fit where it needed to be.
Marked and drilled the four screw holes for the radio and compass. All the instruments have now been test fit and the panel will be ready for paint soon. I still need to drill two small holes below the compass to access its adjusting screws and a couple of holes for trans and engine oil pressure warning lights and a max fuel flow warning light.
