Brief Description:  Cyclic grip, instrument pod

Drilled the 3/16" bolt hole through the cyclic stick and grip.

Used a 3 conductor servo extension to make up mating pigtails for the cyclic grip buttons. Fished the wires through the grip and soldered to the buttons. Filed down the diameter of the top button case so it's a friction fit in the hole in the grip. The smaller PTT button was already the right size to press into the hole yet still be removable later if the switch fails. Soldered the other pigtail to the wires coming up through the cyclic stick leaving just enough length to make the connection then slide back inside the tube when the grip is installed.

Installed the instrument pod using various washers to shim the gaps between the frame and the seat pan foot wells so the bolts don't pull the fiberglass when they're tightened.

Put the two instrument panels in place to make sure everything still fit with the pod tightened down. Found that three of the eight nut plates for the lower panel had the threads damaged, probably when the pod was painted and was screwed to a wood stand with drywall screws through the nut plates.

Powered the radio up and verified operation of the cyclic grip buttons, also connected an MP3 player to the audio in jack and verified that function is working, sounded good.
