Soldered the various wires to the radio plug following the schematic that came with the FlightLine 720 radio. The wires will connect to the following: - Power and ground - Headset/Mic jacks (shielded) - Stick grip PTT and channel change buttons (shielded) - Audio in jack (shielded)
Assembled the connector cover using a small zip tie inside the case for strain relief. Bundled the wires and routed them down to the base of the instrument pod where they will be routed to their destinations. Spliced the power and ground wires to the radio power and ground wires that I had previously connected to the lower panel and terminal strip.
Plugged the harness into the radio and powered it up for the first time. I will need to finish connecting the rest of the wires before I can test the radio further.
Called it a night since the temp in the hangar was down to about 25F.
