Brief Description:  Trans fittings, Hood bearing

Finally got a good fit on the oil filter input line and final installed it. Installed the trans temp sender and oil drain line with plug. Ready to add oil to the trans and verify pump and circulation.

Checked alignment on the hood bearing with a dial indicator and found that it was off farther than it looked when using the aligment collar. The bearing was off .007 - .008 from left to right and .005 is the max allowable. I loosened the bolts and placed shims under the right side around the right two bolts. I was able to get the reading down to a difference of only .001 in a full rotation of the main shaft by adding .010 to the front right bolt and .005 to the rear right bolt. This could be machined off of the thin side of the tapered shim but the thin shims are not very noticable and accurately cutting that small amount off of the aluminum spacer would be difficult.
