Brief Description: Rotor tach, engine mounts, oil tank, fuel line
Removed the rotor tach magnet ring and ground down and rounded the ears that clamp the ring together so I can adjust the pick up closer to the magnets. Final installed the magnet ring with loctite on the brass screw. Adjusted the sender to about .030 clearance from the clamp ears which gives about .125" from the magnets. Tightened the two jam nuts but did not loctite since this may need further adjusting.
Assembled the engine mounts according to the supplied drawings and instructions and have them ready for hanging the engine. Sanded and painted the steel turnbuckle portion of the left mount drag link.
Installed the four fittings into the engine oil tank with the same Permatex thread sealant I have used on the other fittings. Mounted the tank to the engine and final attached the rear two lines, leaving the front return lines loose until I prime the return pump.
Made up a drain line for the fuel pump weep fitting which drains the small amount of fuel overboard that may leak past the fuel pump seals internally. Used left over 1/4" aluminum line and AN flared fitting.
Began fabricating a strap to connect the throttle return spring to.
