Cleaned up the corroded aluminum exciter casing with a scotchbrite wheel on a die grinder and will later polish and jewel it.
Fabricated a mount for the engine igniter exciter. Used aluminum angle to create a mount that will bolt to one of the casting webs on the bottom of the engine. Used some scrap material to simulate the .550" thick casting and drilled matching mounting holes in the exciter mount flanges.
Actual mounting to the engine will have to wait until the engine is in the chopper as the drilling location is currently blocked by the engine stand.
