Brief Description:  Engine oil lines

Decided to add a brace to the oil filter housing as a backup to the aluminum mounting strap. Fabricated the brace from thin stainless strap with a quarter twist and holes on both ends to brace the filter housing back to the gear case.

Finished making up the pump to filter feed line. Started putting a little grease on the flaring tool tip which makes the flares much easier forming and gives a nicer mating surface.

Removed the plastic plug from the lower scavenge fitting and drained a couple ounces of oil that remained in the case from the factory. Installed the 90 degree fitting using teflon tape instead of the sealing paste I have been using since the hole was oil soaked.

Installed the 90 degree fitting into the second scavenge location which is located higher up in the gear case and had only a few drops of oil come out when the plastic plug was removed so I cleaned it up and used the thread seal paste on it. One more fitting and four more lines remain to complete the engine oil plumbing.
