I found out from the factory checkout paperwork that they no longer recommend using the "poor man's" transmission oil cooler which consists of about 11 feet of coiled, aluminum tubing because it can restrict the oil flow too much when the oil is cold. So, I removed the coiled tubing and began installing a finned oil cooler.
Before installing the new cooler I took it to my upholstery guy and had him make me a winter cover for it that I can install when temps are below 50F to help get the operating temp up where it needs to be around 150F.
