Brief Description: Swash collars, control stop bumpers, driveshaft
Final installed the two swash-plate drive collars on the main shaft using loctite on the bolts and assuring free travel after final torquing. Torque striped the heads of the bolts. Drilled the heads and added safety wire.
Used some thick, black tape and cut out "bumper pads" and applied them to the steel tubing where the the heads of the stop bolts hit them, such as the down collective stop and the pedal stops. My thinking is that this will help the paint last in these areas and have a nicer sound and feel when checking control travel during pre flight.
Assembled the three sections and installed the tail drive shaft after greasing the centering pins of the couplers on each end. Inserted the 12 AN3 bolts that secure the tubing to the carriers, alternating the bolt directions for improved balance.
