Brief Description:  Empty weight, fuel sight tube markings

Started out the day draining out the couple of gallons of fuel I had in the tanks then wheeling the chopper under the hoist. Had a couple of the FBO guys help me place two scales, one under each skid then lowered it down until it was balancing on the scales. Lifted it again and swapped the scales side for side then repeated the weighing and averaged the two readings for an official empty weight of: 558 lbs. The scales read within about 5-8 lbs side to side with the left side being slightly heavier which makes sense with the main rotor tilted to that side and the tail rotor is also on the left. Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures during all the activity.

I got 17 gallons of Jet-A from the FBO and had the line guy put it my 5 gallon jugs, then I filled a one gallon container and dumped it in the tank, marked it down and repeated. The fuel appeared in the sight tube at 4 gallons and I marked a line on the tube each gallon up to 19, which all but filled the top tank. It may hold 1/2 gallon more, filled to the rim, but I left it at 19 to allow a little expansion as it warms up.

Next I need to cut out my sight tube labels and apply them along the tube at the appropriate locations. I can also now get my usable fuel label printed.
