Brief Description:  Cabin trimming

Decided on the shape for cutting the center back out of the cabin halves to do away with several inaccessible screws and interference with the lift strut and pitch tube. Several other builders have done this with good results as it greatly simplifies cabin installation and provides better clearance and access to the control tubes and fuel system.

Marked out the cut lines on the right cabin half and made the cuts with a thin wheel on the angle grinder then sanded to final shape with a drum sander in the drill. I then cut paper templates traced from the right cabin half and flipped them over to transfer the shape to the left side.

Both sides are now ready for prep and painting of the interior surfaces.
