Decided to place the data plate on the vertical tail fin after talking with the FAA inspector about it. I spent a fair amount of time shaping the plate by hand so that it conforms to the shape of the fin. Used the digital level to draw a line parallel to the tail drive shaft then aligned the plate with it. Drilled the two 3/32" holes for the rivets being careful not to hit the other side of the fin with the bit, removed the tape, cleaned up the holes and pulled the rivets.
Picked up my second set of label sheets from the sign shop this afternoon and spent about an hour cutting them out.
Applied the following new labels in the cabin: Collective friction Engine RPM Throttle friction Phones/Mic Turbine RPM
