Brief Description: Fuel system primed, blade plugs, seatbelts, swash
Several misc projects today.
Rough cut the wood plugs for the main blades.
Made a tapered pin from a long 1/2" bolt to use in aligning the blade holes in the blade grips.
Bought 3 gallons of Jet-A from the FBO and primed the fuel system. Vented the air from the filter/separator housing. Disconnected the fuel line from the engine and ran the electric pump until there were no more air bubbles. Reinstalled the line to the engine, disconnected the small stainless line that feeds the 6 fuel nozzles and ran a clear hose from it to a fuel jug then ran the electric pump with the MFS open and cranked the engine a few seconds until a good flow of fuel was coming out of the line. Reinstalled the line to the injector manifold. This gets fuel in all but the injector lines so I can watch for leaks and gets some fresh fuel to the pump, o-rings, etc.
Final installed the bolts and locking nuts in the four safety belt mounts.
Loctited and safety wired the swash plate anti-rotation slider bolt after applying grease to the bolt shank. Left a few thousandths play for freedom of rotation of the slider on the bolt.
