I decided to try using a pressure bleed hole in the pitot tube to lower the airspeed reading which was about 7-8 MPH fast. I started with a .021" hole, test flew and was still about 6 MPH fast. Landed and enlarged the hole and flew again averaging the GPS speed flying in opposite directions, still about 5 MPH fast. Ended up with a .052" and it is still fast. Stopped for the evening as it was getting gusty making it difficult to get good readings.
While the oil was warm I went ahead and drained the tail rotor gearbox oil and refilled. It only holds about 1/2 a cup of oil and I have found that a mustard bottle works great for filling through the small opening with no mess.
