One more punch list item is finding a place for the fire extinguisher and mounting it. No small task really. Real estate in the cockpit is now pretty limited, especially when I want it to be within arms-reach of the pilot. I sat inside and looked at a bunch of different places, including some suggestions from the Bearhawk forum as to where others had mounted theirs. I finally settled on the space to the left of the pilot’s knee. The space wasn’t in the way, I just had to fine-tune the angle and placement. After a few mock-ups I decided on this location at this angle. It was out of the way, but I could still access it and release it using one hand if needed. I made an AL plate and mounted the whole assembly using unpadded adel clamps. Moving on…
