Brief Description: Installing the Front Seat Adjustmet Pin
Another one of those fiddly jobs I have been putting off. Ever since my fuselage had been sandblasted and painted I needed to do the mundane tasks of fitting everything back together, but this time with a coating of epoxy paint. I worked quite a bit on the front seat slides trying to clean off the paint and to get them to actually operate. I used a maroon scotchbrite wheel on my pneumatic grinder to clean off the paint and get the seat frame to slide smoothly. Next task was to get the seat adjustment pins to function. That took some doing as well. But with a 1/4in reamer and some persistence I was able to get it to function. I know the seat will probably only be in one place almost all of the time, but if it’s there it needs to work.
