Brief Description: Floorboards Under the sticks Part 1
I can’t even begin to describe how much thought and effort went into the tiny section between Stations B and C. I have seen so many floorboard installations and I really didn’t like many of them. I finally came up with something that works for me. Four pieces, all easily removable for inspection without removing the control stick assembly. If I had to pick one thing that looked like it would make maintenance and inspections harder is the control stick assembly bolted on top of the floor board. I didn’t want that, but I paid the price in time, trying to find a simple and elegant solution. I did and I’m happy with the result. A few screws and I can remove all four panels. The two middle panels allows me access to the landing gear strut upper attach points for when it comes time to put it on floats and vice versa.
