One of the things I dread and put off is drilling holes in my fuselage. Four bushings need holes to slide into and I finally drilled the front ones. The V-block drill guide worked very well. My normal Drill-Rite guide won’t fit because the diagonal tube interferes with the fit. The V-block drill guide works well, but like anything else it needs to thought about before it’s used. I made sure the drill guide was perpendicular to the floor in the baggage compartment and drilled the holes. Once the holes were deburred and filed to allow the bushing to fit, I removed the metal shavings from the crosstube. Now they are ready to tack and then fit the seat. Yay!
