I carried through on the jig idea for the bottom of the seat. I made it with some wood chunks and plywood and set it at the angle of the back seat. I set the front tube on the plywood jig and centered it and made sure it was at the proper height, then fit in the side pieces. Once they were tacked in place I added the diagonals on the sides to help stabilize it. It took a bit of head scratching and time to make, but it was well worth the effort. I couldn’t imagine trying to get that put together square, aligned, tapers in the right spot and with the proper back angle any other way. On to the seat mount bushings!
