Brief Description: Front Seats Part 17

Again, I launched into my aircraft TMI mode on the seat adjustment intervals. Factory Bearhawk seats have holes spaced approximately 2 inches apart and seems way too far apart for me. I actually went into my 2008 Subaru and 2002 Ford E350 van and measured the seat adjustment intervals. Each was just over ½ inch per detent, the Ford being a bit further apart. ½ inch spacing with ¼ inch holes was just not going to work, so I settled on one inch spacing.
Then I needed to find out where to drill the first hole. So I set up the seat frame in the fuselage and placed it the furthest back it would go, with good contact on all four corners. I then measured the seat adjuster and adjusting plate, front edge, etc, etc and came up with the start point measurement to drill the first hole. The following holes were spaced one inch apart, drilled using my milling machine table as the guide. Again, took way too much time, but I had to work this one out in my head…too much fun!
