Brief Description:  Front Seats Part 16

Today I spent all evening laying out and welding the portions that ride in the aft seat track. After some failed attempts in trying to align them and have them the proper position and spacing, I came up with an idea. I have some 1 2 3 blocks and various hold downs for my milling machine. It was perfect! I used them to provide an elevated flat surface and used one of the hold downs to use as an alignment tool. Once I figured it out, it went very easy and the parts are just about perfect. I was able to tack all the parts to both seat frames, but was only to finish weld one until I ran out of gas late at night. Next will be to finish weld the other frame and them weld on the seat tracks…getting closer to having the seats done.
