Ran a bunch of errands today, one of which was getting a refill on my argon cylinder. Once that was back, I finished fitting all the pieces of the trim tab and tacked the elevator, I checked the fit against the right side stab. Just a few minor tweaks and it's ready to weld.
I almost really screwed up though, I just had the trailing edge tacked, along with the counterbalance tube and associated rib. I used a little different method tacking the parts than when I did the left elevator, so I checked it against the stab before I added all the ribs. Boy, am I glad I did as I forgot to put the hinges and the retaining rings on the elevator spar! Fortunately, all I had to cut is one small tack on the trailing edge T3 tube and slip the pieces on. I was SO thankful I did check it before I welded on any ribs. Thank you Lord!
