The plans call for one tube for the aft support for the quadrant, but the QB fuselages have two. I can see where it would be a good idea, so I went ahead and made two tube mounts. I flattened the ends, welded the edges and drilled the holes for the AN3 bolt. I bent the ends to about the angle I needed when the tubes are fit. I put the handle in the full up position and made sure the spacing of the quadrant in the handle slot was still good. I held the tubes in place and cut the back end off until it was really close for a good fit in the landing gear truss. I bolted them in place and did the last fine-tuning of the fit, then tacked them. Next free moment I have I’ll weld them in place and the flap handle is done!
p.s. I know the elevator belcrank is over center, but I did that to make room for tacking the tubes.
