Weather (read snow removal) and other life stuff conspired to delay the BH project, but back on track. I was able to get the bushings done for where the control stick attaches to the push rod. It’s important to have them at 1/4inch and that’s what I did. Instead of using ¼ .028 tubing, I used some .035 and used a 3/16ths reamer to get it to size for the AN3 bolt without any play. Since there aren’t any bearings in the stick assembly, I feel it’s important to keep tolerances as close as possible to eliminate any slop in the system…nothing worse than a loose stick.
Once the spacers/bushings were done, I took the .100 rod ends and gave them the slight bend as per the plans to fit the tubing. I then smooshed the ends of the 3/8ths tube and fitted the assembled ends on the tube. Tomorrow, I’ll jig and weld the ends in place.
