I got a few hours out in the shop this afternoon. I was able to shape the pieces I cut out yesterday and bend them to their proper shape. Both the stick mounts and the elevator drive arms need to be the same length. The stick mounts only get drilled after welding to ensure the proper alignment of the stick assembly. The elevator drive arms are the same and are match-drilled and welded to ensure as close alignment as possible for proper alignment when the control push/pull rod is attached. All the bits are about done, they still need a little attention with the scotchbrite wheel for de-burring and polishing. Also, the cope for the tubing needs a bit of fine-tuning, but I’ll get to that hopefully tomorrow.
