I spent quite a bit of time today making a forming block for the U channels for the stick assembly. I've read a few other builders had a bit of difficulty forming this piece because of the reverses in the bends. In my experience having a good forming block out of steel makes for great parts, so I took the time to make one that has the proper bend radius, width and is long enough. Because of the odd size of the inner dimension of 1 1/16th, I had to take a block of 1 1/2in steel and mill/polish it down to the proper width. It took a loooong time, but it was worth it! It took just a few minutes with a dead-blow hammer to get a great part. Now to make the other bits.
