Brief Description: Water Rudder Retract Cable Location
One more task is to decide where the retract cable should be for the water rudders. I decided they should be off to the left of the cabin. They can be anywhere that is convenient. Rob Taylor has his on the left side of the flap handle, in the middle of the floor. I have a lot of plumbing Rob doesn't have and that center location is very tight. I decided to put it on the left side of the pilot's leg. I simulated cable runs with string and tried a few places, but the one next to my left leg was the most comfortable and interfered the least with all that was going on under the floor. All that is needed is a guide tube where the cable exits the fuselage and a place to hook the cable end when the rudders are up.
