Round three…or four…I don’t remember. Anyway, my foam patterns couldn’t take the heat out of forming so I decided to make the patterns out of wood. I had a leftover piece of microlam from when my house was built so I decided to use it. It’s very stable and relatively easy to work with. Cut up chunks, glued them together and roughed out the shape on the bandsaw. Good thing I had enough to make a third block because I made two left-hand versions.
