I'm going to be gone for a few weeks, so this is my last project before leaving the shop and that's to make the pitot mast. I used the same tubing as the landing gear strut material and the pitot fits perfectly inside. The holes are relatively close tolerance so I drilled and countersunk them before fitting the plate on top. It fits great. This is basically a copy of the Gretz pitot mount which is a quality product, but when you have the stuff, why not make it yourself and save a few bucks?
