Brief Description:  Cleaning Parts

So it begins. All the parts that weren’t checked are still in the as-is, where-is stage, covered in grease and goo. So the last few days I’ve been cleaning parts. I’ve soaked some in the solvent tank and scrubbed them with scotchbrite pads. After I clean them I’ve been spraying them with LPS-3, putting them in a baggie, writing down the part number and description on the bag, and then in a box.

Later on, I'll paint the engine as a unit once everthing is installed.

I did learn that the vernatherm in this engine (picture 2), p/n 75944 has a service bulletin on it and I'll probably need to buy a replacement. Oh well, what's another $200?
