Brief Description: Prop Control Cable Bracket Part 4
I saw on the ol’ interwebs a product with a rotating gate for securing control cables made with a detent slot. Several manufacturers, but same concept. I didn’t find one that matched my application, so I decided to make my own. It was a bit tricky fussing with the geometry of the gate that captures the cable housing. I made an example as a proof of concept using scrap and I got the sweep of the gate correct. Next was making the mount itself out of 4130 plate and the AL structure that will support it. Figuring out the position and the angle of the mount relative to the baffling and prop governor took time. But I finally got is. Now time to attach it to the intake baffle ramp.
