Brief Description:  Engine Baffling Part 9

One of those jobs that I needed to do is to cut the final opening in the nosebowl for the spinner backplate. Now that the cowling is done I can draw an accurate circle on the flange of the nosebowl and trim it to shape. I made a template of the radius of the backplate adding a 3/8ths in margin around the perimeter. I traced it out on posterboard and aligned it on the nosebowl flange. I had to add some things in the middle to keep the posterboard from falling in the middle! Once it was aligned I held it in place with some tape and drew the outline. I did the finish cut using a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel. I smoothed out the fuzzies with some sandpaper.
