It’s really difficult to work on the lower cowling while it is installed on the aircraft, so I actually cleaned off my work table (gasp!) and made space for it. I simulated as best I could measure the edge of the cowl using wooden blocks screwed to the table. Since the nosebowl isn’t a perfect arc, I had to create a wooden representation of the nosebowl curve and attach it all to the table.
