I was able to get it done and the result is as it should have been at the beginning, with the addition of a bunch of rivets and patch pieces. I was also able to drill all the perimeter rivet holes with the exception of the schnabel that is the air intake. The angle of that part is still to be determined when I get the bottom cowling done and the scoop installed.
