Brief Description:  Vans FAB Airbox Part 4

I searched the Vans forums and found the answer to the problem, namely needing an offset arm. I was able to find the correct part number 2521287. I called Precision Airmotive and explained the situation as they are the ones that refurbished the fuel servo. They did sympathize with my plight, but couldn’t help me out short of buying a new arm with an offset for about $240. No trades were available for the specific arm straight arm that I had, besides ones that would be “pretty close”. I found a company in FL (AvStar) that does FAA/PMA parts and found a new arm for $97. https://www.avstardirect.com/av2521287-lever-mixture/
About four days later I had a beautiful new mixture arm to put on my fuel servo! It’s really clear how much less material was necessary to remove from the airbox by looking at these two pics side by side. I called Vans to order replacement arts. The top plate they had, but the formed one that fit inside the fiberglass was backordered. When will the new ones come in I asked? The answer was they should have been here a month ago and we don’t know when the parts will be in.
