Brief Description:  Engine Preservation Part 1

Now that the engine is done, I need to pack it up and keep it dry until time for installation. It's humidity is low in Alaska anyway, but I want to make sure that no moisture may get into the engine while it's waiting for installation. I wanted to get some silica gel packets, but once again the internet heros of youtube come through. I found out there is a cat litter that is 100% silica gel, the stuff in the moisture absorbing packets. I bought a big bag at the local big box store for about $13. I got some coffee filters and poured a bit into each filter. I then folded it up, stapled it shut and put one packet into each exhaust port.
