Brief Description:  Engine Assembly Part 3

Engine assembly is progressing. I hired Jim Harden, a friend that is a local mechanic to help me put the engine together. He has the knowledge and experience to do this...plus he does this stuff every day! We put all the rods on and used plastigage on every bearing and the checked out perfect, middle of standard spec. Once that was done, we wanted to put the case halves together and check the crank bearings, but I had ordered the wrong one for the nose bearing! Oh well...had plenty of other things to do. So, we packed it all up and I started on the fuselage details. Jim is in great demand for the summer, so I don't know when the next time will be that we can work on it together.
