Brief Description:  Lycoming Case Splitting Tool Part 1

When I set the engine mount a few years ago, I used the engine case for the alignment. I put it together and it's a tight fit.I knew then I would have to come up with a tool to split the case and that day has come. I'm making one really similar to the Lycoming tool ST-122. The main issue I have is three sets of through bolts go through right to left and the front through bolts go left to right. The Lycoming style tool is made for a case that has two through bolts going right to left and two sets left to right. So, I'm making one that will work specific to my engine. This will also help when I put the two halves back together on final assembly. The case is expensive, so I don't want to mess it up!
