Brief Description:  Bush Wheel Mod

If you want to mount Alaska Bushwheels on the Bearhawk, there is a modification to the fairings of the gear legs that has to be done. This will give the clearance necessary for the tire sidewall. The drawing for the modification is in the 3rd Qtr 2009 Beartracks.

This was a one day project I was saving for when I was stuck on what to tackle next on my project. It was really straight forward. As I have the gear legs from Bearhawk Aircraft, all I did was cut and bend the existing tubing. The drawing shows the T3 tube extending farther down the gear leg, but I just cut it off even from the existing bracket and where it bent to was where I welded it. It’s purely aesthetics as to where you put it and I know I won’t have any clearance issues in the future.
