I did something today that I have wanted to do for a long time and that is make aluminum jaws for my vise. I've had there really funky folded-over pieces of old aluminum diamond plate that just kept falling aff and it was really annoying. The steel jaws had a real aggressive face, so just leaving the original ones wansn't an option. I milled these extra thick so I could clean them up in the future when the get banged up. They work great and one less source of frustration in the shop!
