I finished fitting the pilot's side door sill and made sure all the measurements checked out. I then clamped everything down and tacked both ends. After that, I welded shut the cuts that formed the dog-leg in the tubing. Once that was done, I removed all the jigs and made the final measurements. The point at the dog-legs measured exactly 18 1/4 inches from the center making a total of 36.5...right where it needs to be. I then checked for level in both directions and got satisfactory numbers...dead on! I'm one happy camper! On to the rest of the diagonals. It's almost time to start thinking about final welding...
