This took longer than anticipated. This is the first time I have had all the cowling in place without any jigs or clamps. This was the first real test if everything fit correctly enough to paint. I had to just tweak a few things, but not much. Mainly because I didn’t remember the proper sequence of assembly! One thing that needed to be nailed down was the anti-chafe tape at the rear of the cowl. I wanted the tape in place so the future paint trim lines I’m going to paint will align correctly. Since the material appears to be made of cotton, a soldering iron didn’t make any appreciable hole in the material. I borrowed a hole punch from my wife and that seemed to do ok. It wasn’t perfect, but it did do the job.
