Brief Description:  Final Paint Scheme Part 2

I also sent the paint scheme ideas to the local EAA chapter president who is a friend of mine and he in turn sent it out to the entire chapter! It wasn't my intent at all, but it was out there in the wild and nothing that I could do. I was contacted by Mike Bauer, one of our chapter members and an old helicopter pilot friend from my National Guard days. He asked if he could do a paper model of my BH. I really had no idea what he had in mind, but I was soon to find out. Apparently he has been doing paper models of all sorts of airplanes and rockets for years and is well-known in the paper modeling world. He created a true to scale model of my BH with a 24in wingspan, complete with scale 26in Goodyears, (even the T3 tailwheel suspension) in a kit that you can print out on card stock! He printed out two kits for me on 11x17 card stock and I put one together over the weekend while waiting for some Superflite stuff from Aircraft Spruce. I have to admit it was a challenge, more challenging than I had imagined but it was worth the trip. He is now making a 36in version that is rubber-powered and will make it fly! The experience was interesting and it is really neat to have a three-view that I can hold in my hand. Buzz Lightyear volunteered to do the test flight...
