Brief Description:  Paint Booth Part 1

Well, it’s time to take the bits and pieces of the paint booth that Rob Taylor built and put them back together. Rob built this paint booth 7 years ago to paint his project. After that, he gave it to Ken Scott to paint his project. A couple of years ago I contacted Ken to see about retrieving what was left of the paint booth. He said no problem, come over and get it. It was laying on the ground behind his hangar and in pretty sad shape. The booth was made up of six panels. Two are 10ft by 10ft and make up the end walls. Four panels are 10ft by 12ft. These make up one side wall and the ceiling panels. They were too big to transport in one piece, so I cut all the old plastic off the frames and found a break point on each panel. I cut the panel frames at the break points and transported the whole shebang back to my shop where they stayed under cover up until this point. All of the panels needed some repair and the one that was on the ground needed the most. The escapade can be seen in this YouTube video. It’s long, grab a beverage: https://youtu.be/klqCVRLvc7Q
